President Gary Graham called the meeting to order at 7:10PM.
Vice President Joy Jeffries took minutes in the absence of Secretary Tom Hubbuch.
Treasurer Berry Bannon presented the treasurer’s report. Checking balance $619.14, two $500. CD’s, $4,158.27 in savings, $30 in petty cash. It was accepted as read.
Greeting Chairman Don Tucker reported that there were 22 members in attendance as well as 2 visitors, John Craddock and Roy Hay.
Committee Reports:
Young Eagles - Bob Allen announced that 2 events were scheduled. June 23 and July 23 are the dates.
Bowman Eagles - Jim Nolen said the club has room for new members.
Spring Picnic - Gary Graham announced that the picnic is tentatively planned for June 22 at Willow Island.
Old Business:
Gary also passed around a program from the 1988 Bowman Air Fair and read an article from 2004 regarding the Oldham County Air Tour. The air tour was to allow residents to get an aerial view of their properties and was well received.
It is not looking feasible for the chapter to acquire a trailer due to insurance requirements. Stacy Linn and Keith Mountain agreed to investigate the possibility of the chapter offering a scholarship.
New Business:
Charlie Gokey read an NTSB report describing fabric separation on a Steen Skybolt due to the use of too lightweight fabric.
Reports are that Tom Hubbuch is doing well and is slowly gaining his strength back. According to Gary Graham he is feeling well enough to enjoy the local scenery.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:33PM.
Member Steve Koch gave a presentation on his newly acquired Questair Venture. In addition to a video, he also had the aircraft on display. Rich Heimerdinger had the winning ticket for a ride in the Venture.
